How does “Tilt” work?
Aeron’s oscillation mechanism (Tilt) follows the body’s movements in a linear and balanced way, allowing the muscles to move and support the spine. The Tilt is available in three different configurations:
Standard Tilt: This version features a tilt adjustment knob that allows you to adjust the effort needed to recline the backrest comfortably. It does not have an oscillation limiting mechanism.
Tilt Lock: Tilt Lock allows you to limit the range of positions between fully upright and reclined. The tension control adjusts the effort needed to recline the backrest comfortably. The possible reclinations are: upright, medium and reclined.
Tilt Locking and Seat Angle Adjustment: The tilt locking allows you to set the backrest to three postures: upright, medium and reclined. The tension control adjusts the effort needed to recline the backrest comfortably. The Seat Angle adjustment changes the seat angle from neutral (parallel to the floor) to locked (5 degrees forward).
Aeron Lumbar Support Guide
The best configuration for an active body is in an upright position, with the chest extended and the pelvis tilted slightly forward. Therefore, it should be possible even when seated. This is why Aeron is available with different lumbar support devices:
Basic: Lumbar support is guaranteed by the 8z Pellicle suspension.
Adjustable lumbar support: Adjusts to support the natural curve of the lumbar region. The stand can be adjusted vertically within a range of 11.4cm.
Fixed PostureFit: The sacral-pelvic support technology allows you to reduce fatigue and increase resistance in a sitting position, supporting the natural curves of the spine and muscle balance, both in a reclining and standing position.
Adjustable PostureFit SL: The acronym SL refers to the lumbosacral area, from the base of the spine to the mid-back. The individual pads flex independently of each other, the top pad supports the lumbar area, while the bottom one stabilizes the sacral area. The system can be adjusted to fit the curve of your spine.
